I’ve never been self-confident. I wish there were a way I could be.”

There is a way. You don’t have to be born with self-confidence. Self-confidence can grow and flourish and ripen and blossom until you actually come to feel as though there is a different person inside of you. Here are some insights that might facilitate the quest.

Learn what a self-confident person is really like. They are not cocky, know-it-all people who don’t care what anybody else thinks. They have their doubts. And make mistakes. And are far from perfect. However, they are willing to acknowledge their inadequacies without dwelling on them. They do this by maintaining a sense of humor, putting problems in perspective, and focusing mainly on what they’ve done right, not wrong.

Though self-confident people do believe in themselves, they don’t try to suffocate others with their ideas or beliefs. They are confident in what they know not only because they read, learn and think but also because they respect their instinct, intuition and the unique body of knowledge that they’ve developed by living life. They realize that one doesn't have to be labeled an “expert” to believe in one's own truths.

Self-confident people don’t undermine their own worth by comparing themselves with others, only to conclude that they aren’t “good enough”. They appreciate their strengths and accomplishments and can acknowledge, without embarrassment, their weaknesses. They don’t live in the “victim” position. Even if something really bad has occurred, they turn it into a challenge, remembering to be grateful for the little things in life.

Self-confident people let the world know who they are. If they want something badly enough, they know they have every right to “go for it.” Yet, they also know that the path will rarely be easy. Mistakes, blunders and failures are part of the learning process. They seek to learn from their mistakes and do not waste time torturing themselves over what “could have been”.

Self-confident people are not obstinate people. If they have an idea about something and it differs from the way another person is thinking about it, they will usually try to look at it from that person’s point of view, see why it makes sense to them. Yet, a confident person’s sense of self is grounded. It does not blow in the wind. Their ideas do not fluctuate based on what others deem are important.

I hope these insights are helpful to you. If so, perhaps one day you will be able to say what the actress Phyllis Rashad once said, simply but eloquently, ” I am just myself and who I am is a lot.”

二、重視良好的學(xué)習(xí)習(xí)慣的培養(yǎng)

習(xí)慣的力量是一種巨大而持久的力量，許多重要的事情正是靠習(xí)慣的力量去完成的。聯(lián)合國教科文組織在“學(xué)會生存”一書中指出：在未來社會里，文盲將不是不識字的人，而是那些不懂得學(xué)習(xí)方法、不會自行更新知識的人，家長希望自己的子女在未來的社會中長大成才，不可不注意對他們進行學(xué)習(xí)方法的指導(dǎo)，和學(xué)習(xí)習(xí)慣的養(yǎng)成。

(1)讓孩子多聽錄音

在少兒英語教學(xué)中，首先是加強聽力訓(xùn)練和說話訓(xùn)練，然后才是讀寫能力的培養(yǎng)。聽說能力差，用英語進行交際的能力差，是以往英語教學(xué)中的問題所在，是現(xiàn)代兒童英語教學(xué)中要全力改進的。為此，家長一定要配合學(xué)校來要求孩子，要創(chuàng)造條件讓孩子多聽，多聽純正的錄音，習(xí)慣聽原聲帶，注意聽正確的語音、語調(diào)和語氣，聽幾遍、聽清楚了以后，跟著說，這樣做，可以彌補一些因我們英語老師語音不夠純正的不足。多聽、多說可以讓孩子盡快達到“脫口而出”、“出口成句”，哪怕是一兩個詞代表的句子，因為句子是語言的最小單位。再有，如漢語中有“四聲”的特點一樣，英語中有長音、短音和雙元音等不同于漢語的發(fā)音要求，要注意學(xué)和正確發(fā)好，否則談不上學(xué)到地道的英語。

(2)讓孩子大聲說英語

家長要每天留出15分鐘左右時間讓孩子讀讀英語，不管當(dāng)天有無英語課。我們要鼓勵孩子大聲地朗讀、對話、問答，大聲說，不害羞，這樣有利于清楚地表達自己，也有利于他人糾正自己的錯誤，還有利于培養(yǎng)大膽、開朗、自信的良好個性。

(3)讓孩子熟練背誦課文和單詞背誦是一項基本功，可以積累一些日常用語，等到用的時候就可以脫口而出。但是在背誦過程中要講究方法，不可操之過急，要注意分散和集中相結(jié)合。我們一般一單元要花兩個星期時間來教，第一個星期重點背誦單詞，按教學(xué)進度熟讀所教課文;第二個星期重點背誦課文，可以分段背誦，等快教完的時候，再把課文串起來背，這樣可以降低一點難度，讓學(xué)生背得輕松些。但是在檢查過程中，我們發(fā)現(xiàn)有一部分學(xué)生背得相當(dāng)熟練，可問他課文中的某個詞組或句子的意思時，他卻一問三不知。所以，我們在背誦過程中要注意上下文的理解，在理解的基礎(chǔ)上達到背誦的要求，課文中涉及到的相關(guān)詞組和句型，要讓學(xué)生熟記，并能用它們來造句、說話。

單詞亦是如此，分散記憶、根據(jù)讀音記憶單詞都是可取的方法。有時，我們回家作業(yè)布置抄寫單詞，其目的不在于抄，而在于提醒學(xué)生記憶這些單詞。一般，每次的單詞量為5個左右，方便學(xué)生記憶。但是在日常學(xué)習(xí)中，學(xué)生不重視這項作業(yè)，認為只是抄抄而已，不做也沒什么關(guān)系，其實他連抄寫都不做，根本別說是去背了，結(jié)果幾次下來，他負債累累，應(yīng)付不過來，學(xué)習(xí)處于被動狀態(tài)，從而影響了以后的學(xué)習(xí)，出現(xiàn)退步現(xiàn)象。因此，請大家在家里督促孩子保質(zhì)保量地完成英語作業(yè)，該讀的讀、該說的說、該寫的寫、該記的記，及時鞏固，養(yǎng)成良好的習(xí)慣。

三、創(chuàng)造良好的家庭環(huán)境

(1)良好的物質(zhì)條件

這一點是不難做到的。即：讓還孩子有自己的學(xué)習(xí)場所，沒有單獨房間的，要給他隔出一個“學(xué)習(xí)角”，放有書架、錄音機等用具。

(2)營造良好的學(xué)習(xí)氣氛

這比良好的物質(zhì)條件還要重要，直接影響孩子的情感智商的發(fā)展。主要包括這幾個方面：首先，營造融洽的家庭關(guān)系，讓孩子有安全感，能安心學(xué)習(xí)。其次，鼓勵孩子勤學(xué)好問，提倡大家互相學(xué)習(xí)。遇到不懂的、不會的問題，親子一道查字典、翻閱資料，這樣做，不僅會提高家長的威信，提高孩子學(xué)習(xí)的積極性，還會增加家庭中的許多樂趣。再次，父母親的良好榜樣。孩子一般還沒有明確的學(xué)習(xí)目的，這時，父母親對學(xué)習(xí)的態(tài)度，特別是行為，會極大地影響孩子。

據(jù)論壇主辦方國新出版物發(fā)行數(shù)據(jù)調(diào)查中心提供的數(shù)據(jù)，全國各省級新聞出版局報刊處、國內(nèi)最頂尖媒體、大中型廣告公司、大廣告主和國外媒體界知名人士共約300余名代表參加了會議。

各位同行、各位朋友，大家好，很高興得到這個主辦單位的邀請，到這里跟大家溝通探討“媒體與企業(yè)共贏”這么一個話題。剛才華蓋創(chuàng)意這位先生給了我們一個很棒的視覺盛宴。其實歸根到底，這些圖片都是用在媒體上，無論它是紙媒，還是網(wǎng)站，還是商家的廣告。

我剛剛來的時候，我也在想，一路上因為交通很堵，馬上要放假了，甚至堵得開不了。其實我們常常發(fā)現(xiàn)在路上這么堵的階段，擁擠不僅僅是汽車，可能一百米的路上都有很多的廣告蹦到大家眼前，包括燈箱的個、樓宇的廣告，所謂這些形態(tài)都可以在很短路程里看到，剛才啊，手機里收到招行的促銷廣告。實際上每個人、每一天都被大量媒體所包圍，我們可能是看著報紙，吃著早飯，聽著電臺廣播去上班。在等電梯時還有其它的東西看一下。到辦公室，msn上還有其它的廣告，進了電郵，還有一些垃圾郵件。中午時，你下樓吃飯時，可能人家塞給你一些宣傳片，回到家里你會翻翻雜志，基本上我們中國已經(jīng)進入媒體泛濫的時代，十幾年前，我們想，可能能看的就幾個頻道，全國真正比較成功的商業(yè)興市場化的媒體是屈指可數(shù)的。今天我們很容易超過60個電視頻道，可以選擇的網(wǎng)站可能是幾千個，任何一棟樓都有像分眾這樣的傳播媒體。連出租車的椅背上都有了小的電視屏幕了，過去三月份中國有差不多超過20本雜志創(chuàng)刊或者重新改版。

在這樣的情況下，每個人都很困惑，比較迷惑，受眾是覺得這個信息在爆炸，不知道選擇什么樣的消息渠道，應(yīng)該瀏覽什么樣的信息，企業(yè)也挑花眼了，每個媒體都在兜售自己的受眾和傳播力。媒體的日子其實越來越難過，為什么我這么說呢?因為你的受眾越來越挑剔了，企業(yè)要拼命給你壓價，在任何一個領(lǐng)域，任何一個媒體，都面臨著一大堆的模仿者、跟隨者或者是挑戰(zhàn)者，每一個所謂的我們叫出版人或者叫媒體經(jīng)營的負責(zé)人，都在想怎么樣使自己媒體與眾不同、脫穎而出。但是我個人還是認為，整體而言，媒體其實并沒有因為數(shù)量的增加而貶值，因為大量缺乏有品質(zhì)的媒體，這些缺乏品質(zhì)的媒體是沒有價值的。媒體的泛濫也只是相對的，因為好的媒體資源永遠是稀缺的，什么叫好的媒體?是可以創(chuàng)造價值的媒體。

我今天想說，擁有這創(chuàng)造價值的媒體才可以與企業(yè)共贏。這是我今天在這里想表達的一個思路。一個重要的問題就是什么是媒體的價值或者說媒體能為誰帶來什么樣的價值。當(dāng)然我們都很清楚，媒體存在的價值和意義，在于它所謂“中間人”的位置，因為我們把信息帶給受眾，把受眾的注意力帶給我們的廣告主，這是一個真理，可是在今天的市場環(huán)境里，其實情況可能要復(fù)雜一些。剛才講了，現(xiàn)在的社會并不是稀缺的，而是非常充足的，甚至是多余的，有時甚至讓你感覺帶來負擔(dān)。如果真的媒體貶值，最主要的原因信息本身在貶值，剛才華蓋創(chuàng)意那位先生也說到，人們正在改變獲取信息的方式和介質(zhì)，你是看還是閱讀，有很多的選擇。但是，在這樣一個環(huán)境下，我反而覺得，媒體沒有失去其存在的價值在于因為好的媒體反而有更多的機會。也就是說，包括在我們編輯團隊或者我們在經(jīng)營部分，我們一直比較強調(diào)所謂好的團體，是有品質(zhì)的媒體及，反而會有更多的機會可以成功，什么叫好的媒體?我們認為是好的媒體能夠幫助受眾把信息變成知識。
